1/25/2020 – 1/26/2020: Mom continues to stay strong through days 2 and 3 of chemo. Due to the ongoing irritation of her acid reflux, they decided to do an x-ray of her esophagus. Luckily, she has no signs of blockage when swallowing – just slight issues when swallowing pills. The next few days consisted of Cyclophosphamide, Dexamethasone, and Methotrexate. She handled these like a boss. The only problem was her inability to rest. Mom was on so many drugs – she couldn’t relax. This started to be a consistent pattern for the days to come. She motivated herself to walk about a mile a day and kept a positive mindset. We couldn’t have been more proud of her.
To combat mom’s lack of appetite, her siblings, nieces and nephews made delicious home cooked meals giving her not only the healthiest but a variety of options to choose from. She appreciates all of you so very much!
